This is an insanely easy recipe and great for anytime of the year! Be ready to feed the whole family and create a great meal at the same time!
  • 1 Whole Chicken
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 2 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp, Onion powder
  • 2 tsp. Salt & Pepper
  • 2 tsp. Dried Basil
  • 2 sprigs, minced fresh Thyme
  1. Combine all the spices into one bowl and set aside.
  2. Cut the ends off of the onion and peel. Then make ¼ inch slices.
  3. Separate the rings of the onion and set aside.
  4. Slice the lemon into ¼ inch slices and set aside.
  5. Remove your chicken from the packaging and rinse.Remove the bag of innards and discard,
  6. Stuff most of the onion and lemon slices into the inside of the chicken.
  7. Cover and rub the chicken with the seasoning mixture. Place in the crock pot.
  8. Add remaining onion and lemon slices to the top.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 8 hour or 6 on high.
