Yes, it is real.
Yes, they sell this in stores (but is obviously overpriced).
Yes, I have a recipe for you.
Yes, you can eat it too… and you probably will.
Lauren tested; Nala approved.
Begin with plain, non-fat yogurt (24 oz) and pour into a blender.
Add one banana (broken into bits).
Next, mix in 1 tablespoon of honey….
When dogs are involved peanut butter is a must (1 tablespoon will do).
Once all four ingredients are in the blender…well uh, you blend it.
Scrape down the sides with a spoon.
Proceed to lick said spoon.
Tastes pretty good for dog food….
Prepare your ice cream mold or dixie cups.
Place the mold in a 9×13″ pan (for support).
Or if using dixie cups you place them in the pan or baking sheet.
Then pour the mixture evenly into the mold.
Place the mold/cups into the freezer for 4 hours or until frozen.
They will look like this-
The best thing about the mold is they pop right out.
Remove all the molds and store in a freezer safe plastic bag.
Or serve to your fun lovin pooch!
Nala was very patient…I made her be good and wait!
Look at the intensity of that stare.
She just heard the word “treat”.
Waiting for the magic word- OK!
She tends to travel around the patio when she eats the ice cream (dixie cups are nice- no sticky mess).
And she refuses to share….
At least she is cooled down…for another 5 minutes or so.
Enjoy the rest of your Dog Days of Summer….
